Job Description

We adhere to the primary value "the needs of the patient come first". The daily actions of the staff demonstrate the vision and values of the organization. The Patient Safety Attendant (Sitter) works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and provides an environment of safety that gives an alternative to restraints. Is responsible for sitting with and observing an assigned patient. Provides constant and alert observation for each assigned patient. Protects patient's safety and security by preventing patient harm to self, harm to others, harm from others and flight risk. High school graduate or equivalent required.
Additional qualifications:
Patient care or healthcare related field experience preferred however on the job training is provided. Flexibility (works flexible hours, which include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends) Basic computer skills Ability to read and communicate effectively in English Verbal and written communication Promotes team building Self-directed Able to adapt to unpredictable situations.
License or certification:
BLS certification required within 1 week of start date.
