Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional support to both patients and healthcare professionals. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with medical office management systems. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process at the front desk. Manage phone calls with professionalism, ensuring effective phone etiquette while addressing patient inquiries and scheduling appointments. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Practice fusion, Epic or eClinicalWorks. Assist in coding and billing processes, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and coding standards. Coordinate office activities, including managing schedules for healthcare providers and organizing patient flow. Ensure that the office environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients. Collaborate with other staff members to enhance patient care and improve office efficiency. Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence related to patient care. Requirements Previous experience in a medical office Practice setting is Required and at least for 2 years in last 5 to 7 years in the medical office practice setting. Proficiency in medical office management systems (e.g., Practice Fusion and Epic ) is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology. Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with hospital operations or clinical settings is an advantage. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical assisting or related field is a plus.
