Job Description

Registered Respiratory Therapist Cullman Regional Medical Center is a 145-bed, fully accredited medical center that serves more than 175,000 residents in a six-county area and is and has been a part of the community since 1939. The hospital is part of an extensive medical complex built in 1995 that contains some of the newest medical equipment and technology available today. CRMC is dedicated to promoting wellness by providing excellent healthcare services in the most efficient manner and exceeding the expectations of those we serve. Job Summary / Duties As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide quality patient care as a member of the Respiratory Team, develop and ensure the patient plan of care collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, therapists and nursing assistants. Other responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist position include: Evaluate patient and recommend a treatment plan Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes Perform timely and accurate documentation Promote continuous quality improvement Teach and counsel patients/families
Requirements Education:
Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program and licensed in the State of AL. Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Experience:
Critical Care experience in a hospital setting preferred. Additional Skills /
Abilities:
Must be a resourceful problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Must be positive and caring with a customer-service oriented attitude.
