RCP License Full Job Description Overview:
This position represents patient care directed toward critical care areas, step down areas and general care areas.
Qualifications:
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
Education:
HS/GED Required. Must be licensed by the ASBRT and credentialed by the NBRC, Certified Respiratory Therapist minimum, Registered Respiratory Therapist is preferred. Certification of PALS and ACLS is preferred for all applicants.
PALS, ACLS, NRP
are mandatory within one year. Certification of BLS is preferred for hiral processes and mandatory upon completion of orientation period.
Experience:
Clinical experience obtained while attending Respiratory program and will be able to function in critical settings including initiation and support of mechanical ventilation. Additional experience relating to intubation and transport are preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must have the ability to perform and recommend procedures in all areas of EKG, Bronchial Hygiene, Oxygen Therapy, Respiratory Diagnostic Procedures, and all levels of Mechanical Ventilation. Weekend and/or holiday rotation may be required.
