Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver advanced respiratory care across hospital units in a dynamic setting with a night shift opportunity. This contract role seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist—Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred, but Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) candidates with at least two years' experience are also considered. The position offers the flexibility of either a 36 or 48-hour contract, focusing on 12-hour night shifts starting at 7:00pm.
Schedule:
12-hour night shifts (7:00pm start) 36- or 48-hour weekly contracts available Every other weekend rotation Voluntary on-call shifts
Qualifications:
RRT preferred; CRT considered with a minimum of 2 years' experience Experience with Cerner or
EPIC EMR
required At least 2 years of current hospital-based RT experience BLS required;
ACLS/APLS
preferred Strong critical care and general adult respiratory therapy skills Comfort with a variety of ventilators (PB 840, PB 980, Drager VN500, LTV, Airvo) and equipment (Spacelabs monitors, Omnicell medication dispensing systems) Willingness to float to any like unit or patient location as needed
Responsibilities:
Provide respiratory care to diverse patient populations throughout the hospital Assess, plan, and carry out respiratory therapy in both general and critical care settings Integrate advanced technologies and EMR documentation into daily workflow Participate in orientation (24 hours classroom, 24 hours on unit) if new or returning after 1+ years Serve as a resource within the interdisciplinary team and mentor less experienced staff as needed
