How you'll contribute A Respiratory Therapist (CRT) who excels in this role: Assist respiratory therapists with preparing for and providing patient care. Deliver routine therapy as delegated by a therapist. Respond to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assess patient conditions and delivers appropriate treatment. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions. Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources. Monitor, receive, stock, and distribute respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders. Maintain storage areas with required supply levels and equipment. Disassemble, clean, and sterilize equipment, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration of machines. Additional requirements include:
Certified Respiratory Care Therapist. Valid and current state board of respiratory care. Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire/transfer date. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) six months from hire/transfer date. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) six months from hire/transfer date.
