Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, where your expertise in respiratory therapy will make a vital difference in patient outcomes. In this role, you will provide specialized respiratory care to patients across various settings, including inpatient units, emergency departments, intensive care units, and outpatient clinics. Your skills will support critically ill patients, assist with airway management, and contribute to the overall well-being of diverse patient populations. Duties Assess patient respiratory status through vital signs, oxygen saturation levels, and physical examination to develop effective treatment plans. Administer respiratory therapies such as nebulization, oxygen therapy, and medication delivery with precision and care. Manage ventilator systems for patients requiring mechanical ventilation, ensuring optimal settings and safety protocols are followed. Perform airway management procedures including intubation assistance and suctioning to maintain airway patency. Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and response to treatments accurately in medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in critical care environments like
ICU, PICU
(Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and Level I or Level II trauma centers to coordinate patient care. Respond swiftly to emergency situations in hospital medicine or emergency medicine settings by providing immediate respiratory support and interventions. Conduct patient assessments focusing on physiology and anatomy knowledge to identify respiratory issues early. Support outpatient clinics by evaluating respiratory function in geriatrics, pediatrics, or pulmonology patients while ensuring adherence to medical terminology standards. Requirements Proven experience in hospital medicine or critical care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers. Strong background in respiratory therapy techniques including ventilator management and airway procedures. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are preferred. In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory care. Experience working with pediatric (Pediatrics), geriatric (Geriatrics), inpatient, outpatient, or clinic populations is highly desirable. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and respond effectively in acute care situations. Familiarity with hospital procedures related to medication administration and vital signs monitoring. Previous experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers is a plus; out-of-hospital or outpatient clinic experience is also valued.
