Position Overview:
The Respiratory Therapist Lead is responsible for overseeing the respiratory care department, ensuring that all staff provide safe, effective, and compassionate respiratory care. This role involves managing a team of respiratory therapists, coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. The manager will also be involved in patient assessment, treatment planning, and the implementation of respiratory therapy interventions. Provide leadership and direction to the respiratory therapy team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Ensure that all staff provide safe, effective, and compassionate respiratory care. Assess patients' respiratory conditions and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers. Oversee and perform respiratory therapy treatments, such as mechanical ventilation management, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, and oxygen therapy. Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and safety of respiratory therapy equipment; manage inventory and procurement of supplies. Develop, implement, and update departmental policies and procedures to align with best practices and regulatory standards. Monitor and evaluate the quality of respiratory care services, implementing improvements as necessary to enhance patient outcomes. Provide ongoing education and training to respiratory therapy staff to maintain competencies and stay current with advancements in respiratory care. Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, including documentation and reporting requirements. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to promote a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field from an accredited program. Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, with at least one year of supervisory experience preferred.For Full Time, What We Offer:
