Job Description

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs pulmonary function studies, pulmonary rehab procedures and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures in accordance with physicians orders, protocols and departmental policies/procedures. Maintains adequate records. Follows standard infection control procedures. Performs inservice and teaching. Performs pulmonary function procedures, assuring patient is provided adequate, safe care and accurate testing results.
Essential Responsibilities:
Upholds Kaiser Permanentes Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws. Performs diagnostic, therapeutic and rescue procedures. Demonstrates an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process in delivering services to patients of the age group served. Is responsive to the needs of others, maintaining a professional behavior toward members and co-workers and creating a positive image for the department.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience Graduate of a 2- year Respiratory Care Accrediting Board (RCAB) approved school of Respiratory Care. Education Graduate of a 2-year Respiratory Care Accrediting Board (RCAB) approved school or be registry eligible. License, Certification, Registration Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California) Basic Life Support Pulmonary Function Technologist Certificate from National Board of Respiratory Care Respiratory Therapist Certificate from
National Board of Respiratory Care Additional Requirements:
N/A Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year recent experience in computerized pulmonary function lab. Registration by National Board for Respiratory Care. CPR Certification Arterial Blood Gas Certificate.
