Candidate must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the different respiratory equipment/supplies provided and the differences in techniques and treatment modalities as performed on clients of varying ages, including pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients. Job responsibilities include but not limited to: Collaborating with other members of the health care team to facilitate discharge planning and ensure smooth transition of patients from the hospital to home setting. Set-up and monitoring/following up with patients on CPAP/Bilevel, mechanical ventilators and other associated respiratory equipment and duties required for such treatment, i.e., airway management, tracheal suctioning. Formulating and implementing training/ teaching plan based on identified learning needs evaluates effectiveness of learning. Serves as a resource for technical questions, applications and problem solving regarding respiratory equipment, respiratory care and other as needed.
