This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in respiratory therapy, critical care, and patient assessment to improve health outcomes. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative solutions for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans. Your dedication will help us uphold our commitment to compassionate, high-quality care in fast-paced hospital environments. Responsibilities Assess patients' respiratory status by evaluating vital signs, lung sounds, and oxygen levels to develop personalized treatment plans. Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and airway clearance techniques. Operate and monitor ventilators and other advanced respiratory equipment for both inpatient and outpatient care. Manage airway procedures such as intubation, extubation, and airway management during emergencies or surgical procedures. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams in emergency medicine, ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and trauma centers to provide critical respiratory support. Conduct patient education on medication administration, breathing exercises, and oxygen use to promote recovery and self-care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, medication administration, and vital signs in compliance with hospital protocols. Skills Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology, and medical terminology related to respiratory health. Proven experience in hospital medicine settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, OR (Operating Room), Level I/II trauma centers, and outpatient clinics. Skilled in airway management techniques including intubation and ventilator management for both adult and pediatric patients. Strong understanding of critical care practices with experience in acute care environments. Ability to perform thorough patient assessments focusing on vital signs and respiratory function. Competence in using ventilators, pulse oximeters, blood gas analyzers, and other respiratory equipment. Familiarity with medication administration protocols specific to respiratory treatments and emergencies. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams across hospital departments including geriatrics and pediatrics.
