Respiratory Therapist Respiratory Care Connect Santa Rosa, CA Job Details Travel healthcare | Part-time | Full-time | PRN | Per diem $70 - $80 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications RRT Patient monitoring BLS Certification Basic life support Home health Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in residential care homes. This role focuses on supporting medically fragile individuals in a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, dependable, patient, and comfortable working closely with caregivers, nurses, physicians, and support staff to improve quality of life for residents with complex medical and respiratory needs. Responsibilities Assess, monitor, and support residents with respiratory conditions and medical needs Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by physicians Manage and monitor oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, suctioning, trach care, and ventilator support when applicable Provide respiratory assessments and documentation in compliance with state and facility requirements Train and support caregiving staff on respiratory equipment and protocols Respond to respiratory emergencies and changes in resident condition Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, families, and residential staff Ensure respiratory equipment is functioning properly and maintained according to standards Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment documentation Promote resident dignity, comfort, safety, and independence Qualifications Current Respiratory Therapist license/certification in the State of California RRT or CRT credential preferred Current BLS certification required Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred Experience in residential care, long-term care, home health, or skilled nursing preferred Knowledge of ventilators, tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, and respiratory equipment Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Pay:
$70.00 - $80.00 per hour
