Respiratory Therapist Clinical Walnut Creek, CA Description Position at Walnut Creek Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Walnut Creek Skilled Nursing and Rehab Respiratory Therapist 1 Day shift, 12 hours, Fulltime 1 Night shift, 12 hours, Fulltime $40- $45 DOE Generations Healthcare is in search of a Respiratory Therapist to join our team. Position Overview:
The primary role of the Respiratory Therapist is to perform safe respiratory procedures as ordered by physician. Responsible for patient assessments, plan implementation, care plans, complete understanding of chronic tracheostomy care, implementation of respiratory policies and procedures, integration of a respiratory care program with nursing, provide staffing/patient education and providing appropriate aspects of quality patient care while staying in compliance with current federal, state, guidelines, and company's regulations.

Essential Duties (include but are not limited to): Exam patients with cardiopulmonary disorders or breathing problems. Perform diagnostic tests on the lung capacity of the patient. Tracheostomy set up. Cooperate with physicians to help develop treatment plans. Demonstrate excellent working knowledge of Respiratory Care instruments and equipment. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of Respiratory Care procedures.
Qualifications:
Graduated from an accredited School for Respiratory Care, and is able to practice unencumbered, and is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards. Active CA Licensed as a Respiratory Care Therapist. Complete understanding and knowledge of Chronic Tracheostomy care and set up. Exudes professionalism in presentation.
