Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in Craig, Colorado, involves providing specialized respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients within a hospital setting. The role requires delivering safe and competent respiratory procedures, monitoring mechanical ventilation, performing diagnostic assessments, and supporting patient care initiatives. Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; graduate of a COARC-approved Respiratory Care Program; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential according to NBRC guidelines; BLS certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire); NRP certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire); at least one year of respiratory experience in a hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pulmonary diagnostics experience; cardiac diagnostics experience including EKG, Holter monitor, and cardiac stress testing.
Additional Information:
The role involves troubleshooting respiratory equipment, assisting in airway management, performing arterial blood gas draws, interpreting flow-volume curves, and participating in departmental training and meetings. The Respiratory Therapist will also handle patient charge reconciliation, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and perform duties tailored to patient age and needs, including neonatal, pediatric, and geriatric populations.
Float:
Float rotation may be required.
