Job Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (Registered) position located in Montrose, Colorado. This role involves providing respiratory care, including ventilator management, diagnostics, and patient education, primarily during night shifts. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
Schedule:
Night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 36 hours per week, including weekends and extended hours, with rotating schedules as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of AMA-approved school of Respiratory Therapy; Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRCC); BLS certification required on hire; ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire; current, competent knowledge of intensive care and neonatal intensive care including ECG, arterial blood gases (ABG), spirometry, and oximetry; ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong communication skills, patient, compassionate, detail-oriented, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Additional Information:
Performs procedures including respiratory consults, ventilator management, non-invasive therapies (e.g., CPAP, BIPAP), diagnostic testing such as pulmonary function tests, electrocardiograms, and sleep studies, and assists with airway management and intubation/tracheotomy support. Responsible for sharing workload across various inpatient and outpatient settings, working extended shifts, and providing after-hours call coverage, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
