Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver essential respiratory care as a valued healthcare professional in a dynamic medical environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist who is dedicated to top-quality patient care.
Schedule:
7:00 PM - 7:30 AM shifts Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications:
Active credentials as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred Strong understanding of respiratory care protocols and equipment Ability to adapt quickly and effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct diagnostic tests and administer treatments as ordered by medical staff Monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust care plans as needed Operate and maintain a variety of respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring safety and accuracy Respond promptly in critical care situations for neonates, children, and adult patients Document treatments, observations, and patient responses in compliance with facility standards Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other allied health professionals to deliver exceptional care Educate patients and families on treatment plans and equipment usage, fostering understanding and comfort Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment
