Respiratory Therapist (FT)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a passion for improving patient outcomes and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

1. Respiratory Therapy Assess, plan and implement respiratory care plans for patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry and nebulization. Monitor patient conditions, record vital signs, and assess respiratory status Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment, treatments, and disease management Collaborate with providers and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans Participate in rounds, care conferences and patient discharge planning meetings 2.

Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards Ensure adherence to infection control practices and safety protocols

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Certificate of completion from an accredited respiratory therapist program, required.

Licensure:

New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician or Respiratory Therapist License Experience:

Previous experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, or related areas

Skills:

o Proficiency in respiratory care techniques and nursing procedures o Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making abilities o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills o Ability to work in high pressure situations and maintain a calm demeanor

Compensation :
