ASAP Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to join a leading healthcare facility in Hartford, Connecticut, on a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, assess patient needs, administer therapeutic treatments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for respiratory therapists looking to expand their clinical experience while enjoying a rewarding travel assignment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, oxygen saturation levels, and respiratory function to determine appropriate treatment plans. Administer respiratory therapy treatments such as nebulizers, oxygen therapy, and medication delivery with precision and compassion. Manage ventilator systems for patients requiring mechanical ventilation in critical care units like ICU and PICU, ensuring proper operation and patient safety. Execute airway management procedures including intubation, extubation, and suctioning to maintain airway patency in emergency and surgical settings. Monitor patients' physiological responses during treatment sessions by interpreting physiology knowledge and medical terminology for accurate documentation.
Requirements:
Active Connecticut Respiratory Therapist License (or eligible to obtain) RRT or CRT credential BLS (AHA) required; ACLS preferred Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience
Pay:
$55.00 - $60.00 per hour
