Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a skilled Respiratory Therapist to deliver top-quality respiratory care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract position calls for an individual who is dedicated to patient wellbeing and keen to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide critical respiratory therapies and interventions.
Qualifications:
Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Valid state licensure as required by regulatory boards Proven experience performing respiratory therapy in hospital or clinical settings Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues Proficiency with ventilator management, airway care, and pulmonary function testing Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a plus Ability to adapt quickly to new processes and protocols
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care plans for patients of varying acuity Administer therapies such as aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, and oxygen therapy Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatments accordingly Manage artificial airways, conduct ventilator assessments, and respond to respiratory emergencies Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient respiratory status Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments and disease management Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies
