Qualifications:
Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Valid respiratory care practitioner license for Connecticut, or eligibility to obtain Advanced knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment BLS certification (ACLS preferred) Recent respiratory therapy experience in acute care or hospital settings Adaptable, with excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, treat, and provide care for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, ventilator management, and airway care Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans Accurately document patient progress, therapies provided, and outcomes in electronic medical records Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments and preventive health practices
