As a leading nonprofit healthcare system in Southwest Florida, opportunities are available at: Cape Coral Hospital Gulf Coast Medical Center HealthPark Medical Center Lee Memorial Hospital Learn more about our locations: Lee Health Locations About the Role The Respiratory Care Educator ensures respiratory therapists receive the training, competency support, and professional development needed to deliver advanced, evidence-based care in critical care settings. This role leads education initiatives, competency assessments, and clinical support programs while partnering with respiratory leadership to address patient care, operational, and equipment-related challenges. The educator also supports the integration of new respiratory technologies, collaborates with vendors, contributes to policy and protocol development, and participates in quality improvement initiatives. Through mentorship and performance support, this role promotes clinical excellence, staff growth, and optimal patient outcomes. Requirements Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree required . Master of Science preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of RRT Critical Care experience required.
Certification:
Current ACLS and BLS required. Current
RRT-ACCS
granted by The National Board of Respiratory Care Required .
License:
Registered Respiratory Therapist OR Registered Nurse Licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health.
Other:
Demonstrates commitment to learning and evidence-based practice. Current membership in community/professional/academic organizations desirable. Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office. Multidisciplinary communication skills.
