Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Provide expert respiratory care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in
NICU/PICU
settings at a leading tertiary care and teaching hospital in Hialeah, FL. This travel opportunity places you in a dynamic, fast-paced environment equipped with advanced respiratory technologies to support critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients. The hospital features a Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, a Level 3 NICU, and is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, offering an enriching clinical experience.Key Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory treatments, medication administration, and patient evaluations using high flow devices, 3100A ventilators, Bunnell systems, Servos, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and standard nebulizers. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. Utilize the Meditech documentation system to maintain accurate treatment records. Adapt quickly to changes in patient condition and workflow in a high-acuityNICU/PICU
setting. Support adult floors as needed, providing nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, and chest physiotherapy.Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Registered Respiratory Therapist credential is required. Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications mandatory. Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience. Prior experience inNICU/PICU
respiratory care strongly preferred. Familiarity with the Meditech electronic medical record system highly desired. Ability to function effectively as a team player with critical thinking skills and a patient-focused approach.Location Highlights:
