Job Description
Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to support the highest standard of patient care at a leading healthcare facility. This contract position focuses on a Level 4 NICU setting and involves the care of cardiac transplant patients, offering an opportunity to make a significant impact on infants and children with complex needs. Utilize your expertise in respiratory therapy to assist multidisciplinary teams and contribute to critical clinical outcomes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Previous experience in a Level 4 NICU preferred Proven competence in managing advanced ventilatory support, including for neonatal patients Experience with cardiac transplant patients is highly desirable Valid respiratory care practitioner license (as required by state regulations) BLS and NRP certifications (required), additional pediatric or neonatal certifications are advantageous Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment in acute care situations Excellent communication and teamwork abilitiesResponsibilities:
Administer respiratory therapy interventions to neonatal and pediatric patients, including those post-cardiac transplant Collaborate proactively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive care Operate and troubleshoot advanced respiratory equipment and monitors Participate in patient and family education regarding respiratory care plans Accurately document treatments, responses, and patient progress in medical records Adhere to facility safety and infection-prevention protocols at all timesBenefits:
