Job Description

Active Respiratory Therapist license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide expert care in a specialized NICU setting focused on cardiac transplant patients. This contract opportunity offers a unique environment working at a Level 4 NICU, requiring advanced respiratory care skills for some of the most vulnerable pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive respiratory care for neonatal and pediatric patients, particularly those in a Level 4 NICU with cardiac transplant needs Monitor, assess, and manage ventilator settings and respiratory therapies tailored to complex pediatric conditions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, and specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of respiratory interventions and patient progress Educate families and staff about respiratory care protocols and patient management
Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required Experience working in neonatal intensive care, preferably with Level 4 NICU or cardiac transplant patients Ability to operate advanced respiratory equipment and technologies Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-acuity environments Excellent communication and teamwork abilities This contract role provides an opportunity to enhance your clinical expertise in a highly specialized pediatric care environment.
