Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract An excellent opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to contribute their expertise in a dynamic hospital environment within a specialized
NICU/PICU
unit. This contract position is best suited for a professional who thrives in fast-paced settings and is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a multidisciplinary team. Schedule/Hours Contract-based position (full schedule details provided upon interview) Qualifications & Desired Experience Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required Minimum 2 years recent acute care hospital experience as an RRT Advanced clinical background with direct experience in
NICU/PICU
Competence with advanced respiratory equipment, including High Flow Devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servos, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox Strongly preferred: Previous experience with Meditech documentation Adaptable, team-oriented mindset with critical thinking skills and a focus on patient care in fast-changing circumstances Responsibilities Provide assessment, care delivery, and evaluation for neonatal and pediatric patients in the NICU/PICU, utilizing advanced respiratory technology and medication therapies Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Director, Manager, Supervisors, Charge Therapists, and staff Float as needed to adult floors for therapeutic modalities such as nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, and CPT Ensure accurate and timely documentation using Meditech Maintain compliance with required uniform standards (light gray/silver) Facility Features 447-bed tertiary care and teaching hospital Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, Level 3 NICU, Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center Award-winning team known for clinical excellence and multidisciplinary collaboration Take the next step in your respiratory therapy career by applying today.
