Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Take on a pivotal role caring for critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a high-acuity, collaborative environment. This contract opportunity requires a proactive professional confident at delivering advanced respiratory therapies, all while embracing a strong team ethic in a renowned tertiary care and teaching facility—recognized as a Level 3 NICU, Level 1 trauma center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with active credentials Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience as an RRT BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required Demonstrated expertise in NICU and/or PICU settings, with advanced skills in respiratory treatment for neonates and children Familiarity and direct previous use of Meditech documentation system strongly preferred Strong interpersonal skills: adaptable, collaborative, fast-paced, and committed to high-quality patient care Ability to float to adult care units for procedures such as nebulizer therapy and BIPAP as needed
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and provide respiratory therapy using modern devices (High Flow, 3100A, Bunnell, Servos, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox) Deliver exceptional patient care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including department leadership Adhere to best practices in respiratory medicine, including preparation and administration of medication, and participation in evidence-based care Participate in a flexible float pool, supporting care throughout the respiratory and general adult units as required Maintain accurate patient records using
