You will assess, monitor, and treat individuals with respiratory conditions, ensuring optimal breathing function and improving overall patient outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced respiratory therapy techniques to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Your expertise will support critical care teams and contribute to the healing process in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, oxygen saturation levels, and respiratory function tests to determine appropriate treatment plans. Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery, aerosol treatments, and medication administration tailored to individual patient needs. Manage ventilator systems for patients requiring mechanical ventilation, ensuring proper operation and safety protocols are followed. Assist with airway management procedures, including intubation and suctioning, to maintain airway patency in emergency situations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in group home medicine, to provide specialized respiratory support. Monitor patient progress continuously, adjusting therapies based on physiology knowledge and clinical judgment. Document all treatments accurately within medical records and communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient status and response to therapy. Skills Extensive knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy, and pulmonology principles. Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU, Level I or Level II trauma centers, with familiarity in acute care procedures. Strong background in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, outpatient clinics, and inpatient care settings. Proficiency in ventilator management and airway management strategies for diverse patient populations. Ability to perform thorough patient assessments using medical terminology and vital signs analysis. Experience with medication administration related to respiratory treatments and understanding of pharmacology relevant to pulmonology. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary healthcare teams. This role is integral to providing high-quality respiratory care that enhances patient recovery and safety across various clinical environments.
