Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a contract position providing comprehensive care to adult and neonatal patients, with pediatric cases soon to be included. This role involves night shifts every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, working 12-hour shifts (7p-7a). Candidates must be able to demonstrate a minimum of two years' experience as an RRT (not including travel assignments).
Please note:
per facility guidelines, applicants must reside at least 75 miles from the designated main campus, with their driver's license reflecting this address requirement.
Qualifications:
Current RRT credential with at least 2 years of experience (excluding travel roles) Active certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, RRT
Previous experience working with Meditech EMR preferred Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to provide documentation of respiratory education, training, and credentials (diploma, certificate, transcript, or degree) Must adhere to the 75-mile address rule from the main campus
Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory treatments and perform essential procedures (approx. 35 daily) Serve a diverse patient population, including adults, neonates, and soon, pediatrics Manage vents, BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomies, EKGs, and assist with intubations Provide emergency responses, including Code Blue and rapid respiratory intervention Draw and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs) per established protocols Work throughout various hospital areas: ER, Acute Care, ICU, nursery, and deliveries Participate in the holiday rotation and take call once per month (30-minute response time) Attend a two-shift, floor-specific orientation Scrub color for this position is ceil blue.
