Job Description

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Days | Travel Contract | Columbus, GA Columbus, GA | 3x12 Days | Up to $1,764/Week We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 14-week travel assignment at a Level II Trauma Center in Columbus, Georgia. This opportunity offers experience in a high-acuity environment serving patients from infancy through geriatrics, with a primary focus on adult critical care and occasional support for pediatric intubated patients.

PM Schedule:
3x12-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours:
36 hours per week
Weekend Requirement:
Every other weekend
Floating:
Required within the health system as needed
Weekly Pay:
Up to $1,764/week Local Candidates Accepted at the Same Rate About the Unit Level II Trauma Center Interventional Stroke Certified Level III NICU and regional transport resource Primary adult patient population with occasional pediatric intubated patients Collaborative environment with rapid response and respiratory support teams Responsibilities Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation Perform ventilator setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and weaning Administer aerosol therapies and respiratory medications Perform arterial blood gas collection and interpretation Draw blood from arterial and central lines Manage oxygen therapy, HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP, and tracheostomy care Provide patient and family education Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR Required Qualifications Active Georgia Respiratory Care License Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Current BLS certification Current ACLS certification Current PALS certification Minimum 1 year of recent RRT experience Teaching hospital experience required Trauma experience required Preferred Qualifications NRP certification Pulmonary function testing or spirometry experience Experience with: Viasys Vela ventilators Viasys Avea ventilators GE Carescape systems Epic EMR Required Skills Ventilator management BiPAP and CPAP High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Tracheostomy care and suctioning Extubation procedures Oxygen therapy management Arterial blood gas interpretation Aerosol medication administration Pulmonary hygiene Additional Information First-time travelers accepted Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract No post-offer schedule requests permitted Compliance items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing Travelers may be expected to work holidays based on assignment dates Apply today to join a leading respiratory care team in a fast-paced acute care environment.
