Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Bring your expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist to a dynamic healthcare environment where patient care and quality service are top priorities. In this contract role, you'll join a collaborative team committed to supporting respiratory health and delivering compassionate treatment across a diverse patient population.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Current state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist (or eligibility to obtain) Experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred Proficiency in administering respiratory therapies, ventilator management, and pulmonary function testing Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and patient education skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and deliver therapeutic respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic conditions Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, mechanical ventilation, and airway management procedures Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to therapy, making recommendations for care adjustments as needed Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement respiratory care plans Provide patient and family education on respiratory treatments and equipment Ensure all respiratory equipment is properly maintained, sanitized, and functioning according to standards Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines throughout all clinical activities This contract opportunity offers the chance to expand your skills and make an immediate impact on patient outcomes in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
