Schedule/Hours:
Travel assignment with flexible scheduling
Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist with current state licensure BLS and ACLS certification required Critical care and rehab experience preferred Skilled in invasive and non-invasive ventilator management Proficient in pulmonary function testing, EKGs, and basic arrhythmia recognition Strong communication and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver intensive respiratory care and patient transport as prescribed Evaluate patients and recommend individualized treatment plans Educate patients and caregivers on treatments, procedures, and discharge Operate a variety of respiratory equipment, including ventilators, oxygen, and aerosol devices Administer medications, humidification, oxygenation, and perform chest physiotherapy Conduct suctioning, oximetry, capnography, and review chest x-rays Assist with advanced procedures (bronchoscopy, trach care, endotracheal intubation) Perform and document arterial punctures and monitor lab testing Participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and equipment maintenance Ensure precise documentation and effective hand-off communication
