Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Step into an impactful position supporting neonatal transport within a dynamic NICU setting. This contract opportunity requires a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist with expertise in neonatal airway and ventilation management, including the use of advanced transport ventilators (Hamilton vent, Cross Vent, and TXP). Contribute to a team dedicated to critically ill newborns, utilizing the latest technology and industry-leading protocols. Desired Qualifications & Experience Minimum 2 years' direct experience in NICU transport RRT or CRT credential required Current certifications in NRP and PALS (STABLE preferred) Documented annual competency in neonatal transport operations Advanced knowledge of neonatal respiratory distress, hemodynamic instability, and critical care interventions Proficiency in neonatal airway stabilization, bag-mask ventilation, ventilator management (HFOV, CPAP/NIV, HFNC), and safe use of transport isolettes Familiarity with EMS integration and air/ground transport safety procedures Schedule Shifts scheduled 2-3 times per week Primary Responsibilities Manage, stabilize, and ventilate critically ill neonatal patients during interfacility transport Conduct all aspects of advanced neonatal airway management, including mask ventilation and securing advanced airways Assist with line placements (PIV/UVC) and ensure effective transport stabilization Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot all transport equipment, including isolettes and ventilators Rapidly assess patient condition, communicate efficiently with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure seamless patient transitions Maintain precise documentation for each transport, including interventions and patient assessments Implement infection control and safety protocols, providing crisis management during acute events Additional Highlights Work with a seasoned team recognized for excellence and collaboration Access to cutting-edge neonatal transport equipment and robust support services Required uniform: professional black on black scrubs If you have a passion for neonatal intensive care transport and are ready to make a difference through advanced clinical practice, submit your application today for immediate consideration.
