Schedule:

Night shift: 6:30pm - 7:00am Every other scheduled weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

Core Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough patient assessments and implement evaluate-and-treat respiratory care plans in critical and multiple problem-patient care settings Administer medication, bronchial hygiene, oxygen and medical gas therapy, aerosolized medication, and oversee volume expansion Perform protocol ventilator management, including weaning, interpretation of waveforms, and complex airway management (intubation, extubation, trach tube procedures) Execute arterial blood gas sampling and analysis Provide patient/family education, and serve as a mentor for peers, new hires, and students Participate in pulmonary diagnostics, invasive and non-invasive procedures, and cardiac service procedures as needed Promote a high standard of safety, evidence-based care, and compliance with regulations, documentation, and performance improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (NBRC-RRT and RCP) Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)

BLS, ACLS, PALS

certifications; NRP within 180 days of hire At least six months of critical care clinical experience (0-2 years total experience required) Strong communicator with solid critical thinking, assessment, computer, and teamwork skills
