Shift Type = Nights Shift Hours = 7:00 PM•7:30 AM Assignment Length = 13 Weeks (04/20/2026•07/19/2026) Schedule = Every third weekend required Holiday Requirement = Memorial Day coverage required On‑Call = None Patient Ratio = Varies by census and acuity Equipment = Standard respiratory therapy equipment and ventilator systems EMR = Not specified Description of job: SnapCare is seeking a skilled and reliable Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy team at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA. In this role, you will provide high‑quality respiratory care to patients across a variety of acuity levels during night shifts. This position requires strong clinical assessment skills, comfort working independently, and flexibility to work every third weekend and required holidays based on departmental needs.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of recent Respiratory Therapist experience Current BLS certification ACLS certification preferred Active Iowa Respiratory Therapist license Strong knowledge of respiratory assessment, ventilator management, and patient monitoring Excellent communication and critical‑thinking skills

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and therapeutic interventions Manage and monitor ventilated patients and respiratory equipment Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and other respiratory modalities Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care plans Monitor patient response and adjust care as appropriate Document respiratory care accurately in the medical record Maintain patient safety and comply with all hospital policies and standards
