Schedule/Hours:
12-hour shifts, 6 AM-6 PM Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available Required to attend department meetings once a month Every other weekend coverage Holiday coverage as needed
Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required NICU experience required STABLE and NRP only if working with the NICU or with infants Accepts candidates with at least one year of experience, including first-time travelers
Responsibilities:
Manage respiratory therapies for diverse patient populations (NICU, ICU, stepdown, MedSurg, small Peds unit) Draw and analyze ABGs, administer breathing treatments, BiPAP/CPAP, and ventilator management (Drager, Cervo-NICU, Hamilton, Philips) Assist with intubation and may place LMAs; EKGs not required Collaborate with a supportive respiratory team, never working alone Potential leadership opportunities for experienced travelers
