Respiratory Therapist (Contract) Service and support Chicago, IL Job Details Part-time | Contract 10 hours ago Qualifications RRT Medical documentation Medical equipment operation Mechanical ventilation monitoring Packaging CRT RCP License Full Job Description We are seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist on a contract basis to perform setup, functional verification, and clinical-readiness confirmation of medical ventilators and related equipment. This is a contract / as needed role. What you'll do Set up and perform functional verification on ventilators and related medical equipment — confirming each unit is clinically ready for deployment. Verify ventilator operating parameters, alarms, modes, and patient-circuit integrity against manufacturer specifications. Confirm that devices and associated supply kits are clean, complete, properly packaged, and free of expired consumables. Document setup and verification results and maintain readiness records for each unit. Support the periodic inspection and verification of units alongside the biomedical engineering team. Provide clinical input on ventilator readiness during activation and deployment. Required qualifications Current, active Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license (or eligibility to obtain prior to performing work). NBRC credential (RRT or CRT) , RRT preferred. Documented hands-on experience. Working familiarity with both critical-care instrumentation Ability to respond to work scheduled shifts on-site. Preferred qualifications Direct experience with the medical ventilators Experience supporting medical-cache, readiness, or emergency-preparedness programs. Familiarity with documentation and quality requirements for stored medical devices. Engagement details

Contract / PRN, scheduled cycles plus on-call surge activation.
