Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Valid State of Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligibility) BLS and ACLS certifications (required) Previous acute care or hospital experience preferred Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to adapt quickly to changing clinical settings
Core Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed respiratory care treatments and therapies to patients of all ages Monitor and assess patients' cardiopulmonary status, documenting progress and response to therapy Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes Operate and maintain advanced respiratory equipment, providing education on usage as needed Participate in emergency code situations and rapid response teams
