We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care in acute and critical care settings . This role involves managing cardiopulmonary conditions, operating ventilatory support systems, and delivering advanced respiratory therapies to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Key Responsibilities:
Assess and manage acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions Initiate, monitor, and wean mechanical ventilation using lung-protective strategies Adjust ventilator settings and troubleshoot ventilator-related issues Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) Conduct spirometry and capnography monitoring Administer oxygen therapy, high-flow oxygen, and therapeutic gases Deliver aerosolized and inhalation medications Manage non-invasive ventilation therapies Assist with intubations, bronchoscopies, and sedation procedures Participate in code blue and rapid response teams (RRTs) Provide respiratory care during patient transport Manage airway care , including tracheostomy and suctioning Perform chest physiotherapy and airway clearance techniques Support neonatal and pediatric respiratory care as needed Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care planning Maintain accurate EMR documentation and billing records Train and mentor staff, students, and new team members Ensure readiness of equipment and supplies Adhere to clinical protocols, policies, and safety standardsRequired Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy License Current BLS Certification NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification Minimum 1 year of critical care experience preferredSkills & Competencies:
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments Strong team collaboration skills Patient-focused approach with excellent bedside mannerWork Environment:
