Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care in a dynamic healthcare environment on a 13-week contract. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering life-support interventions, resuscitation, patient monitoring, and both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures across Intensive Care and General Practice settings. This opportunity offers exposure to a wide range of clinical assignments and the chance to work with a multidisciplinary team focused on excellent patient outcomes.
Schedule:
Three 12-hour shifts per week: 1845-0715 Every other weekend required
Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with active licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong documentation, communication, and clinical skills Ability to effectively supervise, direct, and delegate to junior staff, externs, and students
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver life-support, oxygen therapy, ventilation, and resuscitation treatments as ordered Perform and interpret a range of diagnostic procedures for ICU and general patients Accurately document all patient care activities and complete necessary billing details Provide clear communication with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team Maintain clinical expertise and adapt to varied departmental assignments as needed Supervise and mentor respiratory therapy staff and students to ensure high standards of care
