Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver advanced respiratory care and expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment through a rewarding contract opportunity. This position involves supporting patients across Intensive Care and General Practice Units by administering life-support, resuscitation, medical gas therapies, and both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, maintain precise documentation, and ensure safe, effective care is delivered to each patient.
Schedule:
Shifts run from 18:45-07:15 Rotating every other weekend 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
Key Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist with active, current licensure Minimum of 2 years of hands-on respiratory therapy experience required Valid BLS certification Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities:
Provide safe, effective respiratory therapies under supervisory guidance Perform and interpret both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests Deliver care to patients requiring life-support or resuscitation in various care settings Supervise, delegate, and mentor respiratory therapy team members, including students and externs Ensure all aspects of patient care are thoroughly documented Complete billing processes accurately and promptly
