Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver expert, high-quality respiratory care as a professional respiratory therapist within a dynamic clinical environment. This position offers the opportunity to make a difference in patient outcomes across Intensive Care and General Practice Units. You'll provide advanced life-support, resuscitation, and both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures while ensuring the highest standards of care and communication.
Schedule/Hours:
3 x 12-hour shifts per week Evening and overnight shifts from 18:45 to 07:15 Every other weekend required 13-week contract
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist Current and valid professional licensure Active BLS certification Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills Experience supervising or mentoring staff or students preferred
Responsibilities:
Deliver therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care using evidence-based protocols Operate and monitor ventilators, administer medical gases, and provide airway management Communicate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient status and care needs Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and complete patient billing Supervise and direct respiratory therapists, students, and externs, assisting with orientation and skill development Rotate assignments across various units as directed to meet department needs
