1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with 2+ years of experience in respiratory and neuro diagnostics for a night shift position at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital. Details Short-term acute care hospital setting — Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma, teaching facility with 632 staffed beds Respiratory and neuro diagnostics unit serving both pediatric and adult critical care populations Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30-07:00 Every third weekend required No on-call requirement No floating required Epic EMR — experience required; training provided during orientation Ventilator equipment includes Servo I and Hamilton G5 Respiratory care scope includes airway management, vent management, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizer, O2 therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, and medication administration Neuro diagnostics scope includes O2 saturation monitoring/sleep studies Free parking available with badge access to parking garage Requirements Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required Pediatric and adult critical care experience required ER and adult ICU setting experience required Level 1 Trauma experience required Active Michigan (MI) state license required by start date — compact license not accepted in MI; license required if applicable Proof of high school level education required (regardless of higher education credentials) Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and CRTT AHA-issued certifications preferred First-time travelers are not eligible for this position Former core staff members must have a minimum 1-year gap before returning — eligibility should be verified prior to consideration 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information Provide respiratory and neuro diagnostic care to both pediatric and adult critical care patients Orientation includes completion of pre-start modules, which vary by specialty Burgundy/wine scrubs required Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates — no radius rule applies RTO must be submitted at the time of profile; a maximum of 5 days RTO is allowed per assignment 13-week assignment
