What You'll Need:
Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the NBRC Valid state respiratory care practitioner license (or eligibility) Proven experience delivering respiratory therapy in acute care or hospital settings Strong clinical knowledge of respiratory modalities, equipment (ventilators, oxygen therapy, nebulizers), and patient assessment Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Adaptability to fast-paced clinical scenarios and shifting patient needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with pulmonary disorders Administer treatments such as bronchopulmonary drainage, ventilator support, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications Monitor and document patients' progress and adapt therapy as needed in consultation with physicians Provide patient and family education regarding respiratory conditions, equipment usage, and home care instructions Ensure safe, accurate operation and maintenance of respiratory equipment Actively participate in emergency response situations, including rapid response and code teams
