Qualifications:

Active credentials as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist Current state licensure Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and collaborative abilities Previous experience in acute care or hospital environments preferred

Responsibilities:

Administer respiratory therapy treatments and assess patient response Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment Perform diagnostic tests, such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function studies Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and evaluate respiratory care plans Educate patients and families on respiratory health management Ensure accurate documentation in patient medical records Adhere to infection control and safety protocols throughout all procedures
