Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility seeks an experienced and credentialed respiratory therapist to support respiratory therapy services on a contract basis. This position involves working a 12-hour night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (36 hours/week), with an every-other-weekend rotation and participation in 75% of holidays as part of the extended team. Qualifications & Desired Experience Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) NC Respiratory Therapy License in good standing BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (Resource Team requirements) Proficiency in critical care, CVICU, NICU (no pediatric), ED, progressive care, and all floor therapies Comfortable with adult and NICU populations Familiarity with EPIC EMR and a variety of respiratory therapy equipment, including Servo ventilators, Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP Primary Responsibilities Deliver safe, effective respiratory care to a high-volume patient population (average 300+ daily) Float within designated facilities in Region 2 as needed (including various hospitals and freestanding EDs) Demonstrate flexibility with floating between locations mid-shift; compensation provided for travel time Participate in thorough departmental and facility orientation Collaborate closely with department leadership and peers, upholding a culture built on teamwork and strong values Additional Information No on-call or call-back required Free parking and royal blue scrubs provided Applicants must reside at least 50 miles from the home unit If you meet these requirements and are dedicated to delivering excellent respiratory care while thriving in a fast-paced, supportive environment, please submit your application today.
