Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role providing respiratory care at a leading pediatric and adult specialty hospital. This contract opportunity offers the chance to deliver life-saving therapies in a dynamic Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, which also serves as a teaching institution, Certified Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center.

Schedule:

12-hour night shifts (36 hours/week) Shift time: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Every other weekend rotation No on-call responsibility Expected to work 75% of holidays Schedule cycles every 6 weeks

Qualifications:

Current NC Respiratory Care License (RRT or CRT) BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in respiratory therapy, ideally on a resource/float team Experience managing

IPPV/NIPPV

ventilators Exposure to settings such as ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and general med floors Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from facility Familiarity with

EPIC EMR

preferred Open to first-time travelers

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver respiratory care to neonate, pediatric, and, as needed, adult patients throughout the hospital Collaborate with respiratory leadership and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care Utilize advanced ventilatory devices and department-specific technology Participate in a thorough orientation including departmental and facility education Maintain accurate records and adapt to various care settings within the hospital
