Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver exceptional patient care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with a dynamic regional healthcare team. This contract opportunity provides a valuable experience across multiple settings, offering both professional growth and a collaborative work environment.
Schedule:
12-hour night shifts (36 hours/week)
Shift:
7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Every other weekend rotation Travelers will work approximately 75% of major holidays No on-call requirements Floating required within the region (including Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division facilities) Travelers are compensated for any time spent traveling mid-shift between sites
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Respiratory Therapy Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Active North Carolina license Certifications required:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
(Resource Team requirements) Critical care, NICU, CVICU, ED, progressive care, and all floor therapies experience preferred Ability to work with diverse adult and NICU patient populations Comfortable using EPIC and specialized respiratory equipment (e.g., Servo ventilators, Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve) Willingness to float to multiple facilities Must reside 50+ miles from designated home unit
Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based therapies to adult and NICU patients Assess and respond to respiratory patient needs in critical and progressive care environments Collaborate closely with department leadership and multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate documentation and ensure seamless transitions when floating between sites
