Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active license as a Respiratory Therapist Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (RRT or CRT) Current BLS certification (ACLS and PALS preferred) Solid understanding of respiratory therapy procedures, equipment, and best practices Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and medical staff Two or more years of recent acute care experience preferred
Responsibilities & Key Duties:
Evaluate, assess, and treat patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders Administer therapeutic procedures including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy as prescribed Monitor and document patient response to therapy, making collaborative adjustments as necessary Participate in emergency code situations and provide airway management Educate patients and their families about respiratory treatments and equipment use Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and compliance This role provides a supportive framework where your specialized skills make a direct impact on patient wellness and recovery.
