Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver essential respiratory care and be a crucial part of a dynamic healthcare environment in this Respiratory Therapist position. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide respiratory therapy treatments, manage patient ventilators, and offer critical support to individuals with cardiopulmonary disorders. This contract role presents a unique opportunity to use your expertise in an impactful and collaborative setting.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and current Respiratory Therapy license, with eligibility to practice in the state as required Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC Proven experience in acute care, critical care, or hospital settings preferred Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures, equipment, and protocols BLS certification (required); ACLS and PALS certifications (preferred) Exceptional patient assessment and communication skills Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced, high-pressure instances
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as administering respiratory treatments, managing airways, and operating life-support equipment Monitor, evaluate, and document patients' respiratory status and treatment responses Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to develop and modify care plans Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, therapies, and prevention strategies Maintain equipment and ensure strict adherence to safety and infection control standards Respond promptly to emergency situations requiring respiratory intervention This contract opportunity offers professional growth, exposure to innovative respiratory practices, and a supportive work environment.
