Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic clinical environment where your skills as a Respiratory Therapist make a true difference in patient care. This contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in respiratory therapy services.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Respiratory Therapist license or certification (RRT or CRT) in good standing Demonstrated proficiency in delivering respiratory care in acute or subacute clinical settings Ability to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment Experience with ventilator management and various oxygen delivery modalities Strong clinical assessment and documentation abilities Effective communication skills for collaboration with healthcare teams, patients, and families BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for patients with acute or chronic cardiopulmonary disorders Administer therapeutic interventions such as aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and airway management Conduct diagnostic procedures, including arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing Monitor patient responses to therapy, adjusting care plans as needed Provide patient and family education regarding respiratory treatments and equipment Liaise with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatments, and patient progress
